Memory Tests
Memory reVITALIZER has been used in two blinded-studies where the improvement in memory capacity was often realized in as little as one month. The NLT (names-learning-test) was one of the memory instruments used in these studies.
The NLT is a flexible paired-association immediate memory-recall instrument.
To administer it, tell the subject, “This is a paired association test. I will first give you the name of a class of items, then give a specific item within that class. For example, I may say, the name of a color is ‘yellow’ and you will say ‘yellow’ to confirm you heard what I said.
When I get to the bottom of the list of (25, 50, or 100) items, I will say “That is 25 (50, or 100) items, let’s see how many you can now recall”.
Then I will then start at the top and say “What was the name of the color?” and the subject should say “yellow”.
The examiner then proceeds down the list waiting 10 – 15 seconds for the subject’s response before moving to the next item.
The test may be given in lengths of 25, 50, or 100 pairs to match the apparent memory skill of the subject. There are four different lists to discourage memorization and to allow a person to take a test before starting Memory reVITALIZER and another test after one, two, or three months of taking the formula.
